in voice chat ppl hear my sounds

Specs: windows xp, intel core 2 duo 2ghz? / 2 gigs
I have windows xp and my motherboard is a biostar tp45hp. My game guild uses teamspeak 3 for voice chat. I believe I have all the settings correct. My guild has tried hard to help me. Whenever I speak in the chat software, everyone can hear the sounds only I should hear, such as my character running and fighting, and even youtube videos. My headset works fine on the other desktop. I don't know if the problem is my built in sound card or somewhere in the settings. If its the sound card, please tell me which brands are decent. I don't want to spend more than $30. Thanks, Erika

I doubt it is the sound card. I'd think it is how the speaker and mic are feeding back either in the air or in the electronic part.

I'd maybe start muting stuff in mixer or look for any web posts about other issues of this.

Not sure if any other application could be used to compare. I'd guess the game somehow as most likely. Some setting or combo of game and audio software working at same time.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
