Imac won't fully start

Apple imac osx / A1225
October 16, 2010 at 07:35:23
Specs: Mac OS 10.5.6, 3.06GHZ/2x2G/1TB
In Safari when rainbow ball started spinning. Could not get out/frozen. Pressed shutoff button and then restarted. Machine chimed, fan came on, clicking sounds. Grey screen appeared with darker grey Apple symbol. Spinning circle (clockwise) under the symbol and no further movement. Tried unplugging and restarting, same action. Wireless keyboard now does not work (have put in fresh batteries). Placed applications disc in machine, no action and now cannot eject. 24" iMac purchased new mid 2009. Have checked apple forum, no success there.
Any suggestions outside of lugging this thing to a Apple store? Thanks

Better start lugging, it sounds like a bad power supply.
