Specs: Windows XP
I tried to install 2 1 gig sticks of ram and a 9800gtx video card into my computer. after doing so i plug everything up and as soon as i plug the tower into power all the fans simultaneously come on but i get nothing, so i replaced everything back to original parts and still get nothing, please help

Not that this really concerns you but most mother boards can
only handle a maximum of 4GB of RAM... Or so ive heard.

I upgraded 2gb of ram to 6gb the other day. My computer wouldn't do anything. Apparently the same symptoms as

After hours of searching for mistakes (Reconnecting cables,
CD drive, any thing i might have knocked) I noticed my RAM wasn't plugged in properly. I'm not sure which fixed it, but i got
it working again. (only 3.5gb ram registers cos' i'm using a 32-bit edition of XP.)

I recommend making sure the RAM is plugged in properly.
Tricky stuff it is.

Also, Like i said earlier. You may have overloaded the mother
