Ok, now I am having a rather strange problem. Ok, first of all here are my specs.

Athlon XP 2800+
SOYO KT600 v1.0 MOBO
512MB PC 2700
RADEON 9800
4 Total Fans . 2 Intake, 1 exhaust + exhaust in PSU, 1 CPU 80mm
400W PSU

Ok, now I just recently bought a new PSU (Replaced the cheapo one that came with my case in hopes of fixing this problem.) It has not. Here are the symptoms. If I set the AGP speed to 4x in the BIOS, any FSB above 160(166 is my default) will cause random black screens. Usually when playing a game (something stressful) The computer will just lock and up the screen goes black. Now, if I set my AGP speed to 8x in the BIOS, I can get up to 176 FSB with standard timings, after that, it will lock up in all games, although anything above default will lock up in certains games like Serious Sam, RTCW, Quake 3, etc. Now I can get a higher FSB if I relax RAM timings, but this doesn't seem to help in 4x mode. Even worse, if I set AGP to 8x, the frist time I boot every day the whole computer will lock up. It gets into the desktop for as much as 5 min, and then BOOM, lock up, beeps and I must reboot. Now I have narrowed it down to 2 things, I think it's either the RAM or the MOBO, it does it no matter which of my 2 sticks of 256 are installed.Like, I said I just bought a new PSU,and it hasn't fixed it. One more thing, this only does this if I'm using an AGP video card, I'm not sure, this may be symptoms of a factory defect(heard some SOYO owners complain about problems with AGP cards), but Im not sure. The reason I know this, is b/c I used to have a PCI video card, and it never did this. I hope this helps, and I hope you can help me, Id really like to fix this.

I just want to fix this.

Could it be that you are staring beyond the obvious? You mentioned that the problem only occurs with AGP card/s. This would be the first place you should be looking. Have you tried other video cards in your AGP slot, or your card in another PC? If not it might be time to test your supplier's warranty.

It is also possible that the fault lies within the AGP slot itself or the Northbridge. If so, you're looking at a new motherboard.

Sounds like your RAM is OK, but to be sure you could try the free utility "memtest86", it will pick up the most obscure faults.

Hope this helps.

Well, I thought that at first. But think about this, if the video card was defective, would changine the FSB really matter? I mean the bus speed of the AGP slot is locked on my SOYO mobo anyway, so these problems seem to only be showing up when certain settings are the motherboard are changed. If there was a defect in the core fo the video card itself, it wouldnt matter what settings I had it on, it would just lock up. Does that make sense?

I just want to fix this.

An excessive drain on the power supply at the motheroard level might be overcome by reducing other settings. This is ofcourse an inelegant workaround, and would lead to instability. This sounds like the problems you are experiencing.

Just to be sure, does your video card have an external power connector? If so, is it connected?

Yes it does. It is a RADEON 9800, and it is connected, it won't let me power on the PC without plugging it in. Ok, I think I see what you're saying, that the Motherboard may be malfunctioning qand drawing too much power from the PSU, and thus and igher FSB's the problem occurs, and/or different AGP settings. AGP 4x requires 1.5v, while 8x requires .8v. Let me know some mroe fo your input, you seem to know what you're talking about, lol.

I just want to fix this.
