Hi all. I have a Gateway Tablet PC and ever since I did a system restore I have had no volume on my computer, and being a college student it has been really, really annoying! I have tried to fix it but so far I am out of luck. When I open device manager it says IDT high definition audio codec "device cannot start" (code 10). I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it again. If anyone has any suggestions or expertise, please send them my way.
Thanks!

Third party sites should be used as a last resort.
Try installing the drivers from the Realtek web-site:

I know this problem, I am searching for a solution to, some are saying it is because of registry errors like this one. Do you think it can be the problem?
Might. Download Advanced System Care and perform the registry clean. Google is your friend
