Either Everest from

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4...

Note that Lavalys no longer support this free version - but it will still give you the info you want

or Belarc Advisor from

http://www.belarc.com/free_download...

Both programs will give you info concerning the innards of your PC: Everest is probably more compehensive

If you want information on the firmware stored in the chip then the previous answerer is correct.

If you want to know the actual make and model of the chip itself then you are going to have to look at the numbers and letters on the chip and do a bit of research on Google.

I favor Everest over Belarc because I have known the latter to report its findings based on the software installed (which could be incorrect) whereas Everest reports on the hardware itself.
