Hey guys; I'm having some problems with two DX-M300 Dynex external usb modems. I'd like to multilink these two modems so they need to function simultaneously. I have Windows XP SP2 and am using the latest modem drivers. The first modem will install fine, but upon installing the driver for the second modem (same driver obviously) my computer either crashes or it installs and I get the following error in the Device Manager:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware because there is a duplicate device already running in the system. (Code 42)

I've tryed every permutation of instalation to no avail. I can only assume this error is due to the fact that dynex uses the same serial number for every individual one of these modems (at least I know this is so for some usb thumb drives). Is this the number that Windows uses to differentiate between usb devices? Do you guys know any way around this? Thanks.
