Hi y'all - I got a real easy one :)

MAXTOR 120GB 2MB ATA133 7200RPM

^^^I want to order 2 of those to add a RAID array to my computer. My question is n00bsimple: will the HardDisks ship with the IDE cables in their box or do I have to order those separately ?

If anyone has experience with using a RAID-array with a GigaByte GA-8ITXR MoBo, or can tell me if my MoBo supports single big 48bit HardDisks too, please feel free to reply.

Thanx!! :)

I have never seen IDE cables shipped with a hard disk, not even retail let alone OEM. IDE cables usually come with the motherboard.

Would the vendor not be the appropriate place to get definitive answers to these questions? The motherboard question for certain. It would be a waste to assume RAID functionality and it not be possible.

True. lol. Thinking about it, they always come with the motherboard. Not the drive.

Yup - as soon as I posted here, I realized I'd be better off posting the IDE question at the vendor's forum (so I did) :)

I had already spent hours looking for a definite yes/no on the single big drive support, but a RAID array should be twice as fast anyway, so I might as well pay a little extra for two drives (2x120GB) instead of just one ~200GB drive and avoid that question altogether :)

Thanx for the responses !;)
