Hello,
I have an iBook 14" 1.2ghz laptop and unfortunately I got sick this past weekend and threw up on the keyboard becuase I could not move away fast enough. There is a flu going around in my area and I had a paper due the following day and therefore I was on the computer even though I was sick. I cleaned everything up the best I could, even taking off the bottom and letting it sit out to dry. There seemed to be some damage on a small section on the board underneath and it looked coroded from the stomach acids. Other than that the rest looked try and free of any liquid. The iBook lights up orange if you plug it in, but nothing happens when you try and turn on the power. Is it possible to be fixed or is the entire computer likely fried? Also is the hard drive protected enough that my data will still be good? I was considering sending it to Macservice.com but I am worriee that it is not fixable. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

I would think it could be fixed and that your data is probably still there. Take it apart. Maybe you can see what's damaged and replace the parts. Make sure that you drink some Pepto Bismol or Bromoseltzer first.
