IBM ThinkPad A31 Fan Error Message

I have an IBM ThinkPad A31, and I had just replaced the monitor. While I had the new monitor connected and before putting all the screws back in place, I powered on the laptop and it was working fine. Then when I had put all the screws, keypad, panels and etc back in its place, now I get the error message "Fan Error". For some reason the fan is not turning on after the laptop was put back together. Please help!!

The fan that is not working is the CPU fan, and it is plugged in correctly, because I had never touched it while replacing the monitor.

These machines are pretty delicate, and the connectors and so on inside are easy to "bump" You have one option--tear it apart again, carefully, and check.
By the way, do you have or did you go to IBM support and download the hardware manual?

Yes, I had used the manual to take it apart. I just hope I didn't short circuit the fan in any way. I will take it apart again and hope for the best. What if it still does not work?
