Comment:

Hey i have an IBM thinkpad 2652 which was given to
me it kept crashing to the blue screen of death
continuously i tried reformating the hard drive and
putting on xp pro that i have but for some reason it
wont boot off my bood cd or a usb drive that has boot
up capbility. It keeps saying media undetected and
then says no operating system found. Now i know the
CD and USB ports work because my usb shows up in
bios and i had it set to boot off the usb as the main
boot up device, i did the same for the CD as well.
Any suggestions on how i can boot off a CD or USB
drive so i can reformat the hard drive and install
window fresh? I dont have recovery disks for this
system and no Floppy drive either just CD and USB.
It wont even boot up from the windows install
disk....im kind of stumped i mean ive tried several
boot programs of the internet nothing seems to work.
Thanks

Can I assume you have a real OEM XP cd or one that you copied?

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
