IBM NetVista Clock Problem

April 27, 2011 at 07:32:54
Specs: Windows XP
I have an IBM NetVista 8305 on which the clock does not run. I replaced the battery to no avail. Even when I use BIOS Setting to set the Date and Time, it stays where (when) I set it.
I am hoping there is a jumper or a BIOS Setting that I am overlooking.
Can anyone help me, please?

It may contain a dallas real time clock module. It may be replaceable. Look for a maybe 1/2 inch by 1 inch by 1/2 inch black plug in module. I suspect that has to be replaced.

They are not easy to find either.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
