hi i recently got an old ibm aptiva from my aunts house. i took it home turn it on, it work how ever i didn't have a key board attached. so it give me an error so i turn it off by holding in the power button now it won't show any thing on the monitor when i turn it on.

You shouldn't have damaged anything unless you zapped it with static. Check to make sure the monitor is connected and, of course, attach a keyboard.
