i845 cpu upgrade

Intel / I845

Specs: Windows XP, T2050
My notebook has i845 chipset, but the fan runs more often that I would like to ( it already has the largest heatsink fan possible). I would like to downspeed, and I have a T2050 instead of a Northwood. Apparently the i845 supports 533FSB, and I see that there is a 3:4 ratio for the FSB:DRAM - Is this worth a try?

You have old system. i845 is old intel chipset which only support single core cpu, t2050 is dual core cpu so it is impossible. Nowdays mobile c2d system are cheap, better get one.

If your laptop has a T2050, than it is NOT using the i845 chipset.

The only CPU's that will work with the 845 are the older northwood P4's, and celerons. Sometimes later model P4's will work.

PowerMac 9600(1 ghz G4)
512mb RAM
50gb SCSI
ATi 9200 PCI
