Comment:

I have a Presario SR5233WM. I maxed out the
RAM to 4 gig and have a Geforce 9800 GT
graphics card(overclock edition). I'm basically
just trying to max out this system. My
question is, can i switch out the Pentium D
915 2.8, and put in a Core 2 E7500 2.93? Ive
done the spec check, and Compaq is incorrect
w/theyre info. It said i couldnt do 4 gig ram,
but yet i am...no troubles or anything. I believe
i can, but i need reinsurance from a more
knowledgeble person. Thank you.

Here's your board specs with the supported CPUs listed:

Motherboard Specifications, IPILP-LC (Lancaster8)

I don't know why you'd wanna run a 1066MHz FSB CPU on a board that only supports up to 800MHz FSB?
