Specs: Windows XP
I have Dell XP (svc pk 2)w/Dual Hard drives and every startup I get: "The total hard drive capacity in your system has increased. This typically does NOT indicate a hardware failure. Contact your Help Desk if you did not personally change your system's hard-drive configuration or disable devices in System Setup." No I have made no changes and msg. arrived day one. Nobody else has a clue.
How do I fix/remove it?

Do you use USB flash drives and/or External hard drives?

Yeah, from:

"In most cases, this is due to adding or removing an external hard drive (such as a USB hard drive) to your system while the computer was off."

and is coming from the Dell 'open manage' software, which may be something you don't need running.
