Go here: http://www.crucial.com

Click "Scan My Computer", download the small file and run it.
It will scan your system and send the results to crucial.com

You should then see your RAM information on the screen. Crucial.com will also show you what RAM they have in stock that's compatible. Buy from them and you'll get a full refund if it doesn't work.

My experience is the best place for ram information, is the user manual for the device concerned.

Have found sometimes details and/or recommendations from memory suppliers can be lacking.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

You don't have to 'calculate' anything. You need to know which type of RAM is supported by your motherboard, how many RAM slots it has, the max capacity per RAM slot, & the amount/type of RAM you currently have. And since you have a 32-bit CPU (Celeron D?), there's no point having any more than 4GB, in fact, 3GB would probably be best. Unless you plan on upgrading to a 64-bit CPU & installing Win7 x64?
