My build is:
AMD FX 6300-3.5 Ghz
MSI Gaming 970
Apevia x-pioneer
700w psu
WD Blue 1tb hdd internal
Corsair Vengeance 2x4

I have no preference over if its amd or nvidia, i just want it to play most games at 1080p 60fps

Look Here:
Read the overall, look at the recommendations on your price range, look at the charts so you can see the direct comparisons.
Then look up your top three or four on this chart:
To see exactly how each one stacks up to those near it. This chart also includes older card for a more complete picture.
(there are charts for lower end cards also but your price range and gaming needs are more here)
Then decide.
Added: Note also that newer NVidia cards tend to draw less current than older ones and AMD based cards. I noticed that you were not very specific on your power supply and that can be a limiting factor. If you have any concerns that it may not support it, post back your choice(s) and the make and model of your power supply for review.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

When I see "700w psu" without a brand name, I get suspicious. Hopefully it's not an Apevia.
