I need to build a better sysytem.

Specs: Windows 7
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this system is roughly worth?

APEVIA X-CRUISER Black/Steel Case with 2 fans, temperature, and VU (like new condition, very nice!)
MANHATTAN 420W Power Supply (with cord).
ASUS M2A-VM Motherboard (not officially tested, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work right).
AMD AM2 Athlon64 X2 Dual Core 6400+ (3.2 GHz) Processor with heatsink fan (super fast!)
160GB SATA Hard Drive WD1600JS
Sony Black Internal Floppy Drive BLACK
Lite-On Internal DVD+/-RW Black 18x18 (very nice to have!

Are you selling it, buying it, or building it? It's an outdated system & it's not worth much - especially with a questionable motherboard, a cheapo power supply, no RAM, & no video card.

$50 I'd guess.

Those aren't "low budget" if you ask me. Who picked these configurations? You can do better.

I thought you wanted to build your own? At least that way, you'd have some control over the hardware.

The 1st one could use a different motherboard & there's no need for an aftermarket CPU cooler. A board change would change the RAM choice too.

The 2nd one could use a different video card (HD 6000 series?) & once again, there's no need for an aftermarket CPU cooler. Personally, I'm not "sold" on SSDs yet - they're too small, way too expensive, & although they're fast, they're not without problems. You'd still need a "conventional" HDD for storage too because that 120GB will fill up quickly.

Investigation: Is Your SSD More Reliable Than A Hard Drive?

There's also no need for a 1250W PSU & the DDR3-1600 will run at DDR3-1333 speed unless you overclock.

Build it yourself & build it right.

I do want to build a system to save money but if I can get one for a good price then I can save some cash and put it back into it.
