What is make / model of PC?
If it is a laptop, you'll have to send to manufacturer to unlock as well provide proof of ownership.

It opens to a bios setup page and then there's a password request box? If so, you should be able to open the case and locate the 'clear cmos' jumper. With the power cord removed, jumper it to the clear positioin for a second or two and then back to the strandby position. Then plug the power cord back in and start up the PC.

Then go into cmos/bios setup and set the time and date and possibly the cpu speed--if it's not auto detecting it. (Some of the older Asus boards were that way.)
