The pen drive has developed a fault and you will have to buy a new one.
You should never use a pen drive to store data which is not backed up somewhere else. They are not reliable enough for long-term storage. They are intended only for short-term storage such as copying files from one PC to another.I wish I had £5 for every time I've warned people about this.
