How do I remove the hard drive and replace it of my Acer aspire one 722 I have got the back off.
Now where do I go from here.

There are possible side issues so generally explaining why you are replacing the drive and are trying to accomplish would make our answers help you even more. For example, if you will need to move your operating system to the new drive or reinstall everything, you may have more questions related to this information. If you just want more space on the hard drive, adding the drive as a second hard drive (desktop) rather than replacing the drive would be simpler and probably better in the long run..... Just things like these.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Very valid points to consider in replies 2 & 3 above. Also you managed to safeguard your personal files - typically by copyping them to external storage; e.g. cd/dvd? This before doing anything to or with hard drive as is.

Also, that is a netbook and came with a 500GB hard drive so I am curious as to why replace the drive at all.

Is the reason that you can't access the current drive because of a password?
