It shuts on and off don't make sense.

Try going in safe mode, see if the virus still shuts down or 'shuts on' you computer.

I doubt it's a virus problem. But to check, all you need to do is temporarily disconnect both cables (power & data) from the hard drive & then try to boot. If the system still shuts down after 15 seconds, you have a hardware problem - could be an overheating CPU or overloaded power supply.

Although some viruses can infect the BIOS, the vast majority infect the hard drive, or should I say the operating system on the hard drive. If the HDD is disconnected & the shutting down problem continues, the HDD (whether it's infected or not) can probably be eliminated as the cause.

yes riider is correct, the operating system is stored on the HDD thus disconnecting the HDD will determine the problem, as iam 99 % sure its not a virus since the OS did not boot yet, iam thinking power supply is overloaded.
At OP can u get to bios ?
i think OP has left the building
