Make Chrome your default browser:

https://support.google.com/chrome/a...

Or you can probably uninstall that silly Yahoo stuff.

DAVEINCAPS - tried the https://support.google by Microsoft and it did not work. I followed the Setting instruction, etc. Of course, there is also no Yahoo uninstall in the Program and Features area. Thanks, though.

Is it possible you have yahoo set as your homepage? If so change it to something else, or just NONE. It's also possible Chrome has a yahoo extension that makes it your homepage:

Hi Ray,

Please clarify, when your computer loads are you then *clicking on* Chrome, and a Yahoo webpage appears.

Or is it appearing automatically on loading?

I suspect, as Dave says, you have Chrome as your browser, but it has been set up such that yahoo (which yahoo webpage appears?) is the homepage used.

Google:-

set chrome homepage

for instructions on how to change this.
You should not need to uninstall anything.
Please advise back on progress.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

THanks Mike Newcomb for your time and concern. DAVEINCAPS helped me go to Chrome://Settings and Extensions and took out all YAHOO search engine. Went to Settings, Search and Clicked Manage Search Engine where i took out all search engines except Chrome.

Chrome isn't a search engine, it's a browser. And Yahoo! search has partnered with Google.
