i got a transcend 2 TB HDD and can't be detected on my mac

i was forced to force eject the disc
plugged it back in again but now it can't be detected anymore
not even in the system
usb 3.0
macbook Pro OS X El Capitano

There are similar reports re' SD cards too... And the general advice for those is PRAM reset...

Try a bootable disk like gparted

its a external HDD
