Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Intel i7 2.4Ghz/ 6gigs cosair ram
My computer gets 0 power.

So i randomly encountered a power surge in my house. everything turned off for a split second then power came back as usual. my computer ive had for about 4 years and it has never failed on me yet. since the power surge it stopped working. when i go to hit the start button or flip the power supply switch then try the start button again nothing works.
no fans or lights or anything turn on when i try starting my computer.
my motherboard power and reset lights also do not turn on. as well as my power supply fan doesnt even budge. my entire computer turned into a ghost and I checked my motherboards capacitors for signs of a blown motherboard. no blown capacitors were found.
Would it be my power supply or motherboard that broke? ive tried different outlets + power chords, nothing has changed. also no beeps come from motherboard with/without ram.

i tried unplugging everything from the power supply except the mobo and nothing worked. i also unplugged the mobo, my power supply doesnt even get power, nor does my motherboard could this only be a power supply issue? help please!!!

The most likely cause is a defective power supply. The power supply may have also damaged the motherboard.

If the specs above are for the system in question then I would try a different compatible power supply.

There is a possibility the power supply has a fuse in the circuit. Take care when dealing with the innards of a power supply. The capacitors in there can deliver a harmful or even fatal shock. They can hold a charge for months or longer.
