I change my MB and now I cant run windows

Specs: Windows XP
I just upgrade the MB and CPU on my computer. The MB is brand new, the CPU I removed it from another computer.
I only removed the old MB from the case and install the new one, so I am using the same HD and Drives.
First it just would not start, or to be more precise it starts and then shouts down and starts again by it self over and over. Finally it BIOS kick in and it was able to initialize the floppy, the HD and the DVD drive. Now my problem is that it can’t load windows.
I tried loading it from the DVD but it does not do it. I load a XP startup from the floppy, I run checkdrv on the HD and it came without errors. I tried to format the HD and start from ZERO but it does not allowed. Any Ideas?

Windows has to be reinstalled....you can't use the old Windows istallation because it was configured to the old motherboard. You also should manually configure the BIOS settings to match the hardware. Simply selecting Failsafe defaults or Optimized defaults is NOT the way to go. And make sure you installed the HSF correctly.

Perform a Repair Installation of XP
