i cant get to the welcome user login it gets bsod after xp

Specs: windows xp sp1, intel pentium4 w/256megs of ram?
i found after i used a popular cLeaner and getting a little tech cocky i went crazy in add and remove programs. Now i can only access bios,and win. Adv.opt. Menu, directory restore reads,.C:/ file is clean! Note: i'm using my cell to research this and i dont have 2ND os. But i do have a LINUX ubuntu 10.10 , if, i can get it to boot ofF cd/dvd drive. Any sugestions? Come on guys, take a nubie(infant)to skool! :-)

Have you tried to tap f8 when booting the computer and selecting last good known configuration? It sounds like you corrupted your registry.

You shouldn't even be running XP with that little RAM. Your system must be painfully slow.

Which one? CCleaner is an excellent cleaner & is safe, but it can't protect the system from an overzealous user on an add/remove rampage. Why are you attempting to use Directory Services Restore Mode? If anything, you should try Safe Mode or Last Known Good Configuration. However, if you successfully trashed Windows, it will probably have to be reinstalled using the Repair Installation method.
