i can't boot from usb cdrom

hi, i can't boot from usb cd rom and thats pig
problem for me cause my internal cd rom is
didn't work and i need to boot from external
usb cd rom to repair my laptob so pleas help
me,,
and i have another problem that i cant update
my bios so help me to know how to update my

Your BIOS has to support booting from USB devices & the boot order has to be setup correctly.

Why do you need to update the BIOS?
