Ok, I have a HP xh156 laptop here, that won't boot up, I've tried just about everything I know to try to no avail, I'm hoping someone here, might have another suggestion for me to try

When i turn the computer power button on, the fan starts up, but, I don't hear anything else... nor does anything show up on the screen

I've tried...
..Hooking the laptop up to a CRT monitor
..Using a different AC adapter
..Resetting the laptop, by pressing the rest button for 60 seconds, with the battery and ac removed
..pushing the power button all the way over for 60 secinds, with battery and AC removed
..leaving the laptop "run" for hours, without it ever "starting up"
..removing the hard drive, plugging it into my external case, and testing it (it tested fine, in good working condition)
..booting up with a bootable xp cd in the drive
..turning up the brightness on the screen (ho tech suggestion.)
..checking all wires and plugs inside the comp, before hooking the HD back in..

well, I think that's everything...

if anyone has any other ideas, i'm willing to try Anything..
