As the last post,
Ppl said, HP has a high price on cart. wrost photo quality, but less problem than Cannon. Is this all true? Plz put down your common and suggestion plz, i am playing to buy a printer for 60-80 US dollar for picture printing of coz... Thanks

Narrow you choices down to a few specific models and then do Net searches for user reviews on them. Never go by a specific review (ie the guy who responded to you last post and said Cannon's only get 4 pages per cartrige). If you're looking at "popular" models, you'll find enough reviews to give you a better-informed opinion on what to buy.

I would have to agree. Superior paper arangement and better overall quality. Some people would not give 2 cents for ANYTHING HP but my CDRW, printer and scanner all perform flawlessly.

I have had loads of problems with low end Cannon Printers like your going to get. I have had 3 HP Printers, 2 inkjet and a Laser and they are all great. Im using one thats like 6 years old and it still runs great after loads of use and Im about to get a new HP Laser Printer.
I have seen some Cannon Prints and they look pretty good, if it prints.

Hi Death-Knight.
This printer costs more than your specified price, but here is my experience with Canon.
I have a Canon S900 six ink photo printer.
Each ink cartridge is separate so you only replace the ink that runs out.
It's a fantastic printer. Photos are realistic and print in about 30 seconds.
I have had no problems with dried up ink or clogged heads.
This is my 5th Canon printer and I have never had trouble with any of them.
Take care,Linda

go with the photographic company. They have been making professional grade digital imaging since its inception. my canon s520 works great. it is
only a three color (plus black), but still makes nice prints (I'm a professional photographer).
For work I use a medium format six color printer, but rarely as I prefer traditional prints. As for inks drying out??? TOO OFTEN REPEATED URBAN MYTH. One person says it, and everyone swears it's true. Do you think that they could survive as leaders in the digital imaging market if that were true? My printers are very frugal when it comes to ink usage. Also I have noticed when I do have to replace a color, say blue, the yellow may still be 3/4 full! Why should I have to throw it away, and buy another one??? Companies make alot of money on the refills (a 50$ cartridge for a 100$ printer is all too comon). I'll do 20$ a color AS THEY'RE NEEDED thankyou.which is not to say HP is "poop". if all you care about is output quality, then just flip a coin and go with that.

Oh yeah, and on the ink drying thing.
American homes use air con, mostly.
Dehumidifying a room will dry the ink within 24 hours.
We ran our dehumidifier and a spare cartridge I had lying around was totally dry the next day. Bone dry!
Ink does not "dry up" the same way your cup of coke does not "dry up". Things happen for a reason.
Canon is a superb company. Top notch cameras. Only bettered by Nikon's F series. Why would they make bad printers?
HP ----------> lots of them in Goodwill in my town, none of them seem to work. Just an observation!

i hope you're joking, Francis. You don't believe any HP printers are made in the USA, do you??? Is it Patriotic to buy a piece of crap cause someone puts a flag sticker on it? Ever heard of CanonUSA? I'm sure Canon provides just as many jobs in this country (if not more) than HP. (Salesmen, Service, Deliveries, Techs, and countless others included). As for Nikon F's being better-- no, just different. And if you're talking about digital SLR's, Canon just came out with a CMOS sensor the same size as a 35mm frame, with 11 MILLION pixels!
