Comment: I have just purchased an HP PSC 2210 All In One Multifunction pinter/scanner/copier. After installing the software and starting the printer i keep getting the error msg " Open Door Clear Carraige Jam" I do just that and it continues to happen Whould appreciate any help that might be out there on this. HP did not seem to help to much thanks

Reply: (edit)try unplugging printer, plug back in, reboot computer... make sure all the doors on the printers are shut, and there is no paper in it whatsoever (in the tray or in the mechanisms). see what it says. if it asks for paper, put it in. try to print. if it continues, make sure you have the right driver for your OS - preferably an updated one from www.HP.com

Reply: (edit)Get a can of compressed air and blow out the paper path. You `might' have paper dust blocking one of the sensors.

Reply: (edit)HP at its finest... since their conquest of Compaq, all of their hardware has gone to pot IMO, and their software/drivers are even worse. I have this exact printer, and it worked fine for about two weeks. I've seen that error a few times, but pressing the enter button on the control panel has worked to correct the problem thus far. There was nothing jammed in my printer.
