Solved HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One Printer ink system failure

September 28, 2015 at 21:33:27
Specs: Windows Vista
screen reads ...."ink system has failed-unable to copy, receive faxes,or print. refer to printer documentation. error oxc18a0101 turn power off then on again."

this happened right after the dark blue , and magenta cartridges were replaced with new h.p. cartridges. h.p. technical had me check for paper jams and unplug then plug in the power cord.(no changes) . prior to this "failure" it worked fine.

i removed and then reinstalled (all) of the cartridges. (still no change).

Well it's definitely a printer fault, nothing to do with Windows or your computer.
If it's still under warranty get HP to repair or exchange it.

If warranty has expired just get a new printer - - but not an HP one. I wouldn't buy anything made by them. Canon is my recommendation.
