I have this and it has 160GB of capacity, so I save everything in it. Just a few days ago it stopped working and I have no idea why. It's like an external hard drive. I have tried connecting it with the USB cable to all the different USB ports of the computer and it just won't read it. I have all my information there and I am going crazy because I don't want to loose that data (mainly photos). Any suggestions? I have no idea what happened. One day it was working and then the other it stopped.

Try connecting it to another system. If that's successful, make two copies of your important data. From now on start backing up your data.

I tried connecting it to my brother's computer, and then to my laptop, but no luck. Yeah, I should have backed it up, I know. :/ Do you know if I can still recover it somehow anyway?

If the drive is not even recognized by the system, it's possible that the drive itself is ok and the problem is with the USB circuitry.
If it's a standard IDE drive inside an external USB box, I would try removing the hard drive from the box and connecting it internally to an IDE cable.
