I have an HP Officejet Printer 6830 which is connected to my network and does well. However, my printer goes offline and stops working. What makes this printer go OFFLINE automatically and stops. How do I correct this situation?

Did you add the printer to a print server? Are you printing directly to an static ip address assigned to the printer? Do you have Sleep mode enabled?

Doing the best I can here... And remember, there's always more than one path to success. :)

Thanks Jennifer.
I might have enabled the Sleep Mode by chance. What's the path to the Sleep
mode so I can disabled it?

Thanks Jennifer,
After I read your reply about Sleep Mode, I came up with the Recovery Function in the
control panel and initiated the Restore function two weeks before my problem started.
Of course, I did not have that problem two weeks ago and when my Restore completed
I lost the problem.

Thanks to trvlr, it was very informative to read your suggested sites,,
