Specs: Windows 2000
My HP Deskjet 6540 prints out the return and send addresses about six lines too far down the small sized envelope. I use the MS 2000 operating system. I use the envelope function under Tools in my MS Word 2000. I have input the proper 5 3/4 in X 4 3/8 in the custom envelope settings under "printer preference" on my printer utility but still have the problem. Also, I get an error message that the size envelope is incorrect after I hit the print button. I hit the paper feed button and the printer goes ahead and prints out the proper addresses, but, as I stated, too far down the envelope. Has anyone found the solution to this problem?

Just to make sure.....you are putting the envelope on the correct side of the paper feed tray...correct?
