I had to reformat a while back, and I installed the driver for the CD-writer that I got from HP, in fact, there are two of them that came with the unit, and I tried both, but neither seem to work. Whenever a program to write to the disk is used, a message pops up saying, "Script Error: Xtra not found" and in the middle of the popup window, is another message in perenthases, saying only "MUI".
What I can't figure out is that the Direct CD application works. I can erase RW cds, and I can burn files to them using the Direct CD, but other than that, nothing will burn.
The Drive reads cds fine.
