My HP CD writer plus has a problem. When I try to burn something, it pretends to work, and says it created the CD succesfully, but when I go to "my computer" and open the drive, the CD is still blank. If I reformat the disk, all the files appear, but i can't select them, so they're worthless. If you eject the CD and put it back in, the CD creator program opens (Adaptec CD creator 4). I tried writing on the disk again, and it let me, but it did the same thing. Can anyone help me?

What Operating System are you running? Have you updated the Roxio software for EZCD? You may need to upgrade the firmware on the cd burner.

hello
you might try going to roxio sight and get up grades for adaptec
or for even less trubles do like i did and get nero
have a nice dayhttp://grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1bi2l2=til0m2lo

you should switch to Nero, Roxio is crap for burning cds. Go with Nero 5.9 it simmilar to roxio (interface) and much better.

I am experiencing buffer underrun problems when writing music cd's. With normal data cd's I do not have any problems. I use Nero Ver 5.0 running on a pentium 433mhz with 96 MB RAM and Windows 2000 NT
I get a buffer underrun error when writing the last track of the music CD. I tried everything - defragmenting the HDrive, closing all programs, and increasing the buffers. I have enough free space on my HD - 8 Gig in total.I also converted my MP3's to wave before writing with no luck.
Please help!
