Hewlett-packard Deskjet 3050 all-in-one...

Specs: Windows XP
When printing from my ipad using airprint there is no driver and therefore no print settings. Most of my printing only needs black ink greyscale. I can change this in the windows driver but is it possible at the printer so that this becomes the default for my ipad?

Read owners manual for the deskjet. It may be possible to set it from front panel.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Read the manual? Ok.... Thanks for the advice.

Actually, the manual just refers to driver settings, hence me posting the question here.

Invest in a black only laserjet printer. They can be had for less than $80 and the $50 cartridges will print around 1000 pages. far better value than an inkjet printer.

I operate two printers for that very reason. Deskjet for color printing and laserjet for black/white.
