Hi Everyone,

My HP 2600n printer has the good old fuser problem, i am getting shadow of previous print on current print jobs. So time for the fuser to be changed, but the question is do i change the whole fuser unit or just the fuser sleeve within the fuser unit? unit is expensive and sleeve is cheap hence my question. Thanks in advance

You replace the whole fuser. Granted you could probably replace just the sleeve and save a few bucks up front but they use a bakelite substance for the gears and it eventually fails due to high heat. The heating unit also has a limited life span. It's just best to replace the whole unit and be done with it.

:( I guess it has to be a replacement then, costs a bomb and the last change only lasted about 1 year .... Thank you so much for the response, much appreciated
