HP 2035 flat screen has power light

Hi, This flat screen only shows the green led is on and has no display at all. Is there any way I can check this to see if it can be repaired? The PC works fine with a CRT and had previously worked fine with the flat screen. Look 'very' closely at the screen. If you can see a very faint image, the problem is most likely the backlight isn't working. That could mean a defective inverter circuit or the light itself.

Bad cable? When using a CRT monitor are you connecting to the SAME port?
