I think my mobo is dead but I'm not sure how to tell if it is. I put in the cpu, with out the memory in it, and I get no error beeps. When I hook my hd to the motherboard it doesnt spin, but when I unhook the IDE, and only have the power in it, it spins. I also get no video, and the network card light isn't on either. The cpu fans seem to work fine, and so does the motherboard light. Does anyone know if it is dead or not?

And if it is, whats a good mobo for a AMD 2400+?

If you don't have a RAM memory chip installed, system will not boot.

Asus A7N8X is a very good AMD board, and present version is rated up to 2800+.

K, I put the memory in it, but picture still won't come up.

I would get that A7N8X but I can't afford it, is the A7V333 one good?
