This is a newb question but i need to know if there is a way to tell if a vid card has 64bit or 12bit memory interface by just lookin at it. I dont know the manufacture of card, all iknow is it is chip geforce fx5500 128mb.
Try googling the numbers on the video RAM chips. To find out who manufactured the card, search the FCC ID number

I've only used those 2 programs sparingly. Will they identify the video RAM interface?

Yes, Everest will identify the 64 or 128 bit video ram interface, and so is hwinfo32. My voodoo3 2000 16mb 128 bit is still a lot smoother when playing NFS hot pursuit compared to GF2 MX400 64Mb 64 bit.
