Hi
I have seen branded pcs which turn off power supply in stand by mode, and turning on again when key/mouse is pressed. What type of the smps are they? My assembled P4, on stand by mode, turns off harddisk but not the power supply.I want to switch off SMPS in stand by. What should i do?
Please suggest any smps that will shut down on stand by mode.

Thanks
Nilesh

Standby mode should not be used on a desktop system...it was designed for laptops/notebooks as a power saving feature.

If you wanna turn off the power supply, why not just shut down?

They are called PSUs over here & AFAIK, if your PSU is OFF; the system cannot remain in standby mode simultaneously.

If you turn off the power supply, you lose votage to the memory.
