Need to get rid of my old gaming computer, it runs fine but having trouble getting rid of it. Any internet sites you might think of???

Try craigslist. I've sold a number of used PCs to people who just wanted something cheap temporarily or if they wanted something for the children. The most I ever sold one for was $150.

There are also sites that connect you with folks that need what you have. The catch is you give the items away and the receiver pledges not to turn around and sell the item.

If you pay income taxes and are able to use a deduction, then you can also donate the computer to a charity of some kind and then take a deduction on your 2009 taxes (perhaps state taxes as well). You have to do the math to see how this would work in your situation, but many find they can get more return on a used computer this way then just getting cash for it because they can legally declare a much larger deduction than they could ever sell it for.

Tax deductions are only pennies on the dollar. People need cash in their pocket these days.
