Specs: Windows XP
I bought a new mobo and processor for my computer , I installed it and everything was fine until I tries to hook up the wiring for the front led lights, they are 8" to short, can a new set of wire be put in or an extension be added. Also how do you get the front cover off of a case?

I'd just cut the wires and add in some length maybe if I really needed them. I usually never connect them since they don't really mean much.

I suspect there may be an extender some place.

"they are 8" to short"

I find that very hard to believe. Where did they connect on the original board? The front panel connections are almost always at the lower right of the board.

Before they were at the bottom on the right side of the mobo, now they are on the bottom far left side of the mobo
