How to remove the hard drive on a Packard Bell Easynote TE

Specs: Windows Vista
When i turn on my laptop it beeps i got told my hard drive may be disconected i was going to take it out and refit it just incase

Add on to the problem when i do boot the laptop up, it beeps and it Says "No bootable device"

Hi Trig,

if it cannot find the hard disk, it cannot boot, UNLESS there is another bootable device (CD?) that is earlier in the list of bootable devices in the bios.

If you look at pages 4 and 5 of the manual Mike provided the link for, it appears removing the disk is not difficult. However, as advised there, care must be taken with the mylar strip as they are not sturdy.

Disconnecting and reconnecting devices/circuit boards etc. cleans the electrical contacts and often cures the problem.

Please advise back on progress.

can you post the actual model number, that might enable us to get the right manual instead of one that was "close enough"
