A hammer.

lol, just kidding... try looking on its edges for small tabs and such that are holding it in place. If for some Gosh-knows-why reason it appears to be attached to the case completely, then it probably wouldn't be too unreasonable to apply breaking force to remove or cut it out.

if i use force it will not damage my PC?I have 2 blank plastic, should i remove the first one after my CD-ROM or the second one??Or maybe it doesn't play a big role???

thx

Easiest way on most cases is to remove a side panel (open the case itself) and push the drive bay cover out from the inside.

G'day,

Tropic is correct, although I would go one further and say that the only way to get these inserts is from the inside.
Since you are 13, I think this would be a good learning experience for you. So, take the lid/ panel off and look at the back of the panel. First, look for a screw mounting- not likely on new machines, but check anyway.
OK, no screws or bolts or anything; now check to see if it is a punch out panel. If the panel is supposed to come out via some locking device then you will "see" daylight in the joins ie it will look like is a separate part. In this case, you will see some sort of restraining or locking part. Usually, this takes the form of "catches" or hooks: usually all you do is push in (out) and the panel will just fall out.
Whether you do damage to your PC, will depend on how brutal you are (no mallets, hammers etc..)but ultimitely it is a matter of how you want the front of your PC to look after you have taken the panel out.
Good luck and seasons greetings,
Elric

Depending on the case and mobo, there are different ways too add devices.

Therefore rather than risk damage, I would suggest you ask a friend who is more pc literate than yourself, to look over your shoulder when you attempt this task.

All too often, problems/faults are caused by the un-initiated.

Remember to disconnect the power first.

Good luck - Keep us posted.

You have to remove the side panel to install the new drive anyway...so why not take it off & have a look inside? You should be able to see the tabs that are holding the plastic blank in place...UNLESS there's a metal blank behind the plastic one...if that's the case, & you have a CD-ROM drive already installed, you may to remove the CD drive so that you can get your fingers inside to release the plastic blank, then twist the metal blank back & forth until it breaks free.
