Could anybody guide me how to REDUCE the BRIGHTNESS of my 19" Samsung LCD monitor. I have already put it to minimum from the monitor buttons . But it still is too high for me and hurts eyes.
I am using Window XP Professional with Matrox Parhelia 128MB VGA card.
Thanks

Did you use the contrast and the brightness controls? If both the contrast and the brightness controls are at the minimum than the screen should be completly dark.

Dear Chris
I appreciate your response .
The brightness is at Zero.
Contrast is at 50%. But I am unable to reduce contrast with +/- buttons .Just as Brightness can be reduced Contrast seems to be fixed.
Thanks

On second try after pressing menu twice I am able to modify Contrast . By making Contrast to Zero the screen does not become black. But at this setting it is much more comfortable. Now I am using both brightness and contrast zero.
Thanks a lot for your idea.
Please post any thoughts if you happen to think.
Best Regards
