Specs: Windows XP
I have an old hard drive IBM Deskstar (20 MB). I made four different partitions of 4.89 GB each on it. Couple of months back my computer prompted an error message of data may loss due hard drive problem. Well, before my attempt to transfer my data from this HDD to newer one, IT WAS TOO LATE. My hard disk start knocking and I could not reach to first partition in which I had all important data. Now, I have of tried many recovery software to recovery my data from that HDD. I am still unable to get it. When, I attach my hard drive as Slave with any computer it makes the computer very slow. However, I attached it once again it with my new PC secondary slave, finally, I could access 3 partitions out of 4. But, still the first partition is inaccessible in which I have all the data. I tried "Easy Recovery Professional" but that HDD is noising and everything is too slow. KINDLY HELP ME, that how can I access and open inaccessible partition.

Try the "freezer trick". Wrap the drive in a paper towel, then put it in a plastic bag, preperrably one with a zipper lock. Squeeze all the air out of it & zip it closed. Put it in the freezer for about an hour. Take it out & immediately connect it to your PC as a slave. Hopefully that will buy you enough time to retrieve your data.
